Stork braced for the storm. Storks add to their nests, year after year.

This painting took time, as the clouds required many different shades of white, blue and black to really capture the storm’s intensity.

I am working on a series of paintings based on Pickerel Lake, a small lake with some connected ponds near Ann Arbor.

I am interested in the changing colors of the plants in the different levels of the lake, especially the lily pads.

No matter how ferocious he is, there is really nothing cuter than this bear’s tuchus.

I have made a few tiles like this blackbird in a field; I was happy with the way this came out as I can see the field and the clouds in the blue sky quite clearly.
